These are two of the biggest companies in this space. They can achieve this type of marketing because they've already developed the infrastructure to quickly add coins to wallets they moderate on your behalf. Thereafter, you can just hold and save these new crypto-assets, or convert them into US dollars.
Coinbase
Frequently mentioned on this blog, Coinbase is the king of exchanges in the U.S. If you're an American who knows nothing about crypto, then Coinbase is the best place to invest. It is safe, easy to use and even insured. They are also the first exchange to embrace this new form of marketing. As it says on Coinbase.com/earn, "Discover how specific cryptocurrencies work — and get a bit of each crypto to try out for yourself."
For instance, at the time of this writing, you can earn about $6 of the mobile-friendly cryptocurrency Celo (CGLD) just by watching a few videos about Celo and taking super easy quizzes about what you learned. Today, there are thousands of tokens in the market. Each carrying its own particular use and target audience. No one knows for sure which of these assets will become the Amazons and Googles of the future.
